I am glad I persisted, like I mentioned in first update this author is brilliant at making you absolutely loath the villain main characters and then they evolve
I think this one has been the hardest to experience because of my own up bringing / morals however I’m surprisingly really enjoying how this story is playing out

I am currently audio booking this one and up to chapter 8….
I am really concerned this book might end up on the DNF pile
The MMC is a narcissist and I don’t think I can read much more of this behaviour in a book due to personal triggers and morals.
I know Emily has a great way of making you hate the villain at the start and end up loving them at the end which is the only reason I will hold on for a bit longer
