Getting interesting, not sure entirely what to make of it so far. Not a genre I’d immediately be drawn to, but I’m pleasantly surprised

Really not convinced so far, it’s just entirely lacking nuance. Is this an example of the tiktokification of writing? I really don’t feel I need the problems of misogyny and fat-shaming explicitly spelled out to me every 5 pages. Hopefully it will develop and be more interesting.

Some light reading for Valentine’s Day

I suppose I owe Henry James an apology, it’s just the Turn of the Screw that I didn’t like, the Aspern Papers is actually very compelling and well written. He just forgot how to use full stops instead of commas between this and the Turn of the Screw? (or maybe this is more harshly edited?).
