Kill Bill

Cue Rammstein by Rammstein

If this book was a show, and each chapter was an episode, the intro and end credits song would be How Soon Is Now by The Smiths

Already off to an exciting start. I can see why they picked David Fincher to direct the adaptation

Pulling the bookmark here because the writing isn’t very compelling, feels kinda below my reading level, and I’m not just really interested in any of these characters

Thinking about DNFing this, honestly. It’s just not very compelling and I don’t really care about any of these characters

Brutal

Dude got totally straked

What’s up, Straker? You gonna strake me?

Pls don’t, it sounds painful

THE EMPEROR OF ICE CREAM

“That’s damn fine coffee you got here in Jerusalem’s Lot. And damn good cherry pie.”

This is the first King novel I ever read, and he certainly has a way of making almost nothing happen for 100 pages and still make it so terribly enthralling.

Coincidentally I also started watching Twin Peaks around when I started reading this, and I can hear the show’s soundtrack in this novel

I kinda don’t wanna read any further, because Marin and Mabel finally had such a beautiful and genuine moment together after such a strained relationship, and I don’t want them to mess it up. I want them to stay just like this

What I like about this book is that you don’t need to try too hard to keep up with what’s going on, you need only to let yourself be moved by the moment

Such excellent wordcraft. I would’ve never thought to use a word like “jahoobies” before

It’s so good, God it’s SO good!!

This book is so good, and the vision that the author has is exceptional, but it’s just a little bit too easy. Each chapter explains what the literature is reflecting or expressing and doesn’t let the reader come to it themselves. LaCour is “Swifting it,” as I call it

I’ve been looking for a copy of this book for years! So excited to finally start it
