I bought this book as a 99p Amazon deal because the murder victim was Lady Fitzhugh and my mother was a FitzHugh before she married. I am enjoying it so far but I wish the author had different be a little more research.

First - Lady Doris Fitzhugh! Nobody born into the English upper classes would ever be given the name Doris, the only way anyone called Doris would get to be a lady is if they'd married a lord.

First read, according to the inside cover, in 1986. Reading now for book group.

Can’t get into this. I’m going to put it back on the TBR pile and try something else.

On hold for a couple of days while I read the book group book for Wednesday evening.
