Tolstoy equates Sonya with a cat - Nicolas gets his act together- and the epilogue drags on and on

I just am not loving this one….

Being lectured to in the first epilogue 🙄

Though it sent me on a journey to learn about napoleon- So I guess there is that.

Done with the book - marching on to the epilogues - I could never have done this without the online book club support group. I feel like I need to take a vacation when this is over!

The chapters are so short but so powerful.

I have entered the lecture phase - I remember hitting this also in Atlas Shrugged - the books are so long the story ends and we just read rants/philosophies from the author.

I’ll admit it - today’s reading did delight!

Petya hasn’t been well developed- so you know he is expendable to Tolstoy- so I dread the next few chapters to know he is going to die - foreshadowing is a bitch - his death is only meant to instruct others - not add value to life - something I loathe.
