and despite the biblically medieval monsters and battles through hell, nothing will ever damn a group of grown men more than their lack of communication and their aversion to be vulnerable with eachother

The first 100 pages are a mindfuck of 12 century religion and politics that will leave you confused as ever, but by god the last 100 pages have left me gagged and screaming (I hope nothing happens to my fav, Razin)

So far, not what I expected, and I’m pleasantly surprised. First couple of pages were a bit hard to get through due to the German-English translation, but once you power through that it’s a really interesting introduction that had me gagged a lil

…is this a safe space to offer a very insane hear me out…or…

the way I just know this book is going to haunt me forever in every book I read from here on out :/

POV: you’re on your good reads account seeing me revive this account to finally tackle all the books I bought when I was trapped in London for five days

everytime someone on the plane (my literal passengers) came up and interrupted me for something (my literal job) I almost screamed bloody murder bc I was so agonized to put this book down.

she’s done it again I fear

see yall in at the end of the flight in 4hrs

Found myself going “awwww 🥰” for a second, immediately followed by “ew” within the same sentence. Maxim when I catch you, maxim

seeing yourself in a Victorian gothic character is NEVER good

sad.

“Cant you read something happy for once” -my mom

this is…damn.

There’s something so satisfying in the kind hearted character snapping and becoming a cold blooded killer, a threat to life, and an unstoppable weapon while the self proclaimed psychopath draws him a bubble bath, wipes his wounds, and cuddles him to sleep like cmon this is PEAK

this poor guy got slashed, thrown off a cliff, broke every bone and tendon in his body, woke up blind with amnesia, and is still the sweetest character ever I can’t believe

I’ve fallen down such a rabbit hole all I know is ancient Chinese customs

the main characters are so stupid I’m in agony

there’s only (1) book villain that absolutely scared me to death when reading and that was bai wuxiang but let me tell u this guy is becoming a close second im NOT having a blast rn

Main character got cursed and in true fanfic narration, turned into a child. 100/10, having a blast.

This book is actually so painful. Not because of the dark themes, but because the two main characters are so gd dumb. The lack of communication lasting well over 600 pages is so painful and I have to endure this for three more novels after this. Like what do you mean the weapon that shows ur true love is “broken” pls im begging u i can only withstand so much

I AHTE THIS BOOK AHHHHHHH

if u would have told me how dark this book was upon first glance and with a name like “the husky and his white cat teacher” I would have never believed you but here I am, clutching my chest, aghast at some of this stuff but laughing the next sentence down it’s truly a whirlwind of an experience

Idk what’s going on but I’m having a blast

man on the brink of death searches for best place to die, finds it, accidentally adopts an orphan, and is stalked by a man who has a giant crush on him, all while waiting to keel over.

c dramas are so camp because the illness name would be like “seven continent severe scoliosis deadly to the mid 20s” and it’s not shortened at all throughout the novel despite being referenced many times but I will still eat it up everytime like yeah “seven continent severe scoliosis deadly to the mid 20s” is so crazy

Magic old man forced to babysit 15 year old king who keeps almost dying every day by his own choices despite being king for maybe a month

Roman emperor is over thrown by next Roman emperor who is then overthrown by his brother, the next Roman emperor, who is then overthrown by his nephew, the next Roman emperor, who is then killed and overthrown by the next emperor, who is then killed and overthrown by the third Roman emperor in retaliation over Christianity

oh to be an old Druid living in the woods without shoes and twigs in my hair and floor long beard 😔
