Five chapters in, I'm already giggling and kicking my feet while also feeling INCREDIBLY seen. As a person with both ADHD and OCD, I relate heavily to both protagonists, but I've seen plenty of well done ADHD representation before. The OCD representation in this book so far is some of the best I've ever seen in fiction, and it is so easy to get wrong. Here's hoping it stays on point.

This book contains tropes I hate, characters I find insufferable, excruciatingly expository dialogue, forced intrigue, and boring world building. But sunk cost fallacy and author loyalty demands I finish it. No hate to Laurie Gilmore but I can tell this is an edit of something she wrote when she was much younger. It reads like YA fiction with sex, written for the Twilight era. Might read 2nd book if it's about Theo.

Had to pick this back up because reading Big Bad Wolf was making me lose brain cells.

I've been reading this a few pages at a time before bed as something pointless and stupid to put me to sleep. 🤣 It brings me back to my fanfiction days. I feel 14 again. I bought it at a dollar book sale but I will say I probably won't come back to this author.

This is so trash and it's exactly what I signed up for. Reads like fanfiction and I'm here for it.

I guess this series is the exact type of low-stakes fluff my brain needs right now.
