He does handle the serious topics with respect which makes his more obnoxious moments tolerable. I think I’ll enjoy this book more once he starts talking more about profiling and behavioural science. He sometimes adds unnecessary details such as a good deal that he got on an engagement ring or how this was the year he bought a certain car. I think he’s at his best when he’s talking about his specific field.

I’m still near the beginning of the book so a lot of what I’m reading rn is just background info about the author and his career leading up to the formation of the BSU. The author can be a little full of himself which I guess is par for the course when you’ve helped found a successful FBI unit and survived numerous near death experiences lol.
