I'm curious what the author will say about Cleopatra for the rest of the book, now. Though, I'm glad she gave us context about the available source material!

It has gotten a bit better. The author's surprised me a few times! I was surprised about being surprised! I'm intrigued...

This feels... unoriginal. Bland.

Maybe it gets better?

I'm starting out this book already knowing the main things that will happen. (Katniss and Peeta watch a tape of Haymitch's game, and an outline of everything that happens in it is given, in the first trilogy.) But... I'm curious to see how it happened. To see who Haymitch was before. < 3

The book isn't clean. It's Ancient Rome. Nero. But it doesn’t glory in the vileness, add to it, or say more than necessary.

The greatest flattery, is to tell someone they don't enjoy being flattered.
