Decent enough! Took a few times to get into it but had a pretty interesting plot with some good plot twists. Writing was also decent :)

Max Bean is 45% done with Infinity Alchemist (Infinity Alchemist #1)
The drama of it all. It's an easy read and has relatively novel plot points and characters. I really enjoy how they've integrated queer characters into the narrative and how gender and sexual identity is framed. It's definitely a YA book, and is doing the best it can so far. Interesting enough read, needs a bit more beef to the plot I'd say, but we'll see what the rest of the book brings.

The first half of the book was very "I feel this way because of this thing that happened in the second book" like constantly. The reader was reminded of the plot and context of everything constantly which was annoying, but now I'm in the thick of the story I'm enjoying it. Brighton is genuinely a psychopath though. Also loving the amount of queer relationship rep!! The love triangles are popping off.

I love it I love it I've read about Hercules' 10(ish) labours (what a champ btw: reading that section was a labour in ITSELF), the Pegasus and his cocky rider (flying horse mentioned) and I'm just onto Jason and the Golden Fleece! Oh and thanks for breaking my heart with the Orpheus and Eurydice story 🥲 can't wait to cry when I see it played out in Hadestown 😈
