Here we go. Cancer sucks and this will be an intense read

Now on to the ‘after’ of PE, which is ending the book in a more uplifting moment. But while I appreciate the anecdotes and narratives, this book still feels very surface level. I wish I could get more detail on these narratives.

Jesus PE is rough. The writing here is a bit surface level, almost like too elementary, but still solid points

Ok well the background is set, time for PE to come ruin it all I’m so exited… definitely a bit of a ‘hindsight is 20/20’ theme running through this but still valid points all throughout

Back on the grind, Term 2 here we go

Wow. The upset of the century, totally insane. 1948 - “Dewey beats Truman” (not). Literally every poll, paper, and commentator was wrong, but he campaigned like hell.

The writing of this chapter leading up to the election is just absolutely phenomenal. So riveting, funny, and paints the picture so well of just how insane it was that Truman won, literally against all odds.
