Insightful introduction. The footnotes in particular point to several lesser known Webster articles that have been rewarding to track down and dip into. ‘Reading Theology’ is stellar.

My first Pynchon novel. Not sure if this is the normal vibe while reading, but sort of lost. More or less, he seems to assume you’ll figure out the context. Almost feels like reading subtitles to a movie, but at least in a movie the world building is simultaneously being done by the images.

Part IV has been the best part of the book. Although I am not fan of his depiction of God using language borrowed from the discipline of AI.

Taking the Zwinglian line on Communion is a disappointing but not altogether unsurprising development following baptism.
