Chapter 15: Sophia has became Nick’s FWB since the breakup. She asks Nick to become her fake bf for her public image, and he agrees. He hangs out with her until 1am, comes home, and sees Noah sleeping in his bed. They end up “sleeping together” the next day. Noah wants to get back together, but Nick tells her it’ll never happen and he’s in a relationship.

Chapter 12: Noah kissed Lion’s bro at the wedding after Nick makes out with another girl. Nick ends up kissing Noah and says he can never look at her the same after she cheated. After the wedding, Jenna’s dad asks Noah her plans, and she says she’s moving to a motel. Nick sends his bodyguard to bring her to a safe hotel, but Noah demands Nick’s place instead … and the next chapter is his reaction. 😬

Chapter 6: Jenna and Lion are getting married and Noah and Nick are the maid of honor and best man. There’s no one else in their wedding parties. And Noah and Nick have been broken up for 10 months and finally reunited because of the wedding, and Nick’s guard is all the way UP and Noah is still completely heartbroken that she cheated on Nick.

Epilogue: I love how Katniss & Peeta are mentioned ❤️ Haymitch was a big part of the rebellion, and I have always loved his relationship with Katniss. And Haymitch was best friends with Katniss’s father, even tho he felt like he couldn’t be around his best friend

Chapter 27: He carries that promise every day. Plutarch tries to give Haymitch hope, telling him of a possible future rebellion, which we know Katniss would one day become the face of.Every year on birthday—Reaping Day—Haymitch receives 2 new tributes & he shuts out the rest of the world to protect them from the Capitol

Chapter 26: Haymitch returns home from the Games, and before he can even see his mom and younger brother, they die in a house fire …. They burn to death in front of Haymitch in his own home. 😭 The love of his life, Lenore Dove, dies while he’s visiting her. President Snow sends her favorite gummies as a gift, but they’re poisoned. Haymitch mentions “The Hanging Tree,” and now it’s his reality. 😭

Chapter 25: Haymitch returns home, unsure how the public will view him. He watches a recap of his Games, only to realize the events have been edited and rearranged into a completely different order than how they actually happened.

Chapter 24: All he wanted was to protect the little kids during The Games OR (his bigger picture that he kept debating) destroying the arena. Haymitch Abernathy was such a great kid, and as soon as he realized that he’s The Victor, he tries to kill himself. 😭

Chapter 23: 😭😭 Every time Maysilee’s name is mentioned, I think of McKenna Grace. She’s going to be incredible in the movie. My love for Haymitch keeps growing. He wasn’t always a drunk: just a young boy figuring it out. I loved watching his bond with Maysilee grow, which made it even more heartbreaking when The Gamemakers targeted and “his sister”. As she died, she told him not to give up on winning

Auggie who is about to enter middle school (5th grade) was born with a “mushed” face. He’s had 27 surgeries since he was a newborn baby. He’s been homeschooled by his mom his entire life, until now. He’s going to go to an exclusive private school that he had to get accepted into, because his mom wants him to be able to experience more of the real world.

Chapter 19: I love how Haymitch nearly convinced someone seconds from killing him … not to kill him. And I love how our girl Maysilee/ McKenna Grace is back in the picture 😊

Chapter 18: Beetee’s son died and got ripped to only a bare skull and bones 😭 And Haymitch damaged the arena, but Beetee’s plan for The Hunger Games to end that year didn’t work 🥺

Chapter 16: Haymitch was able to receive a call from Lenore Dove, his gf, a surprise ally move from Plutarch. Haymitch decided to go solo from his alliance, before he even gets in there, so he can focus on blowing up the arena. He’s actually moving away from all of the tributes in the arena, who are going in the opposite direction. Lou Lou finds Haymitch after Wyatt dies, and she dies in front of Haymitch.

Chapter 12: Haymitch continues building his alliance. Wiress cuts the power so Beetee can secretly visit District 12’s home base, where Haymitch promises to protect Ampert. During his evaluation, Haymitch refuses to show any skills, instead disrespecting the Gamemakers and acting like he only cares about winning. They score him a 1. 😬👎🏻

Chapter 8: Haymitch meets Beetee, who secretly sneaks him something to help him. Beetee’s son, Alpert, is also competing in the Games and becomes one of Haymitch’s allies. Haymitch begins forming alliances with everyone who isn’t a Career tribute.

Chapter 6: Haymitch’s costume designer has reused the same outfit for years, unlike Katniss and Peeta’s stunning costumes. During the opening ceremony, Haymitch’s ally Louella (a 13 year old girl) is killed, and instead of giving in to fear like he always has, he finally rebels by carrying her body to Snow. Haymitch’s mentors turn out to be Mags and Wiress ❤️

Chapter 2: Haymitch didn’t get reaped, he was defending his girlfriend from a Peacekeeper, and became a tribute. His best friend’s gf is Katniss’s mom ❤️ And she used to be rich! And we just met Plutarch, who was all about broadcasting the families reactions in Haymitch’s story. Haymitch is like Katniss and Gale, he’s the provider and protector of his family.

Nick broke up with Noah, since she slept with Michael. Nick fought Michael, resulting in Nick getting arrested and Michael being in the hospital. Nick wouldn’t let Noah visit him in jail after they broke up. Annnnd Jenna and Lion are engaged.

Chapter 53: SO much happened at the business party! Nothing like the movies 😂 Nick’s mom exposed Nick’s dad and Noah’s mom’s affair, revealing Maddie is Nick’s full sister. Noah’s mom left her alone to be with Nick’s father, the night her father abused her. Nick kissed Sophia out of anger, and Briar revealed they had a past. Then it came out that Nick’s dad forced Briar to have an abortion. Crazy.

Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Noah sees Nick’s “you’re mine” tattoo where she wrote it ❤️ We never got to see her reaction in the movie! In the book, she doesn’t take it well 😬 We finally meet Michael (Noah’s therapist in the book) and Briar! Briar makes Nick pretend he doesn’t know her, and she’s Noah’s roommate in the book. Nick is also jealous of Noah seeing a male therapist.

Chapter 45: Noah sees Nick’s “you’re mine” tattoo where she wrote it ❤️ We never got to see her reaction in the movie! In the book, she doesn’t take it well 😬 We finally meet Michael (Noah’s therapist in the book) and Briar! Briar makes Nick pretend he doesn’t know her, and she’s Noah’s roommate in the book. Nick is also jealous of Noah seeing a male therapist.

Chapter 40: Noah’s mom made her choose between college and Nick. Her mom said she wasn’t going to pay for college, and there’s no way she would qualify for a scholarship, so she had to choose between moving in with Nick and going to college. Noah chose college, and Nick was upset, but ended up understanding. Her mom came to this ultimatum after the family had Sophie and her father over for dinner

Chapter 30: Nick raced for Lion with Noah jumping into the car the last second before the race, just like the movies. Except N&N get into a fight afterwards. Jenna knew about the race and kept trying to tell Noah, but Noah didn’t believe her, because she never thought Nick would stand her up at a restaurant (no date in the movies lol). And Jenna just got arrested

The goal is not to heal and then begin your life. The goal is to embrace healing as a lifelong journey, and allow genuine connections to emerge organically along the way.

A mixture of thriving and surviving

Chapter 25: Nick got into a fistfight because of Lion, but it’s nothing like the movies. He couldn’t pick Noah up from the airport because of it. Their parents also said they must bring separate dates to an important business event—their final request regarding N&N’s relationship. Nick also learns Noah has been having nightmares every night.

Blind loyalty does not nourish anyone. Supporting those you love in their ignorance, or even worse, continuously tolerating the harm they cause you, is a serious act of self betrayal.

Chapter 10: For Noah’s grad gift, her mom is taking her to Europe for a month. Nick was pissed, and they got into a fight. Nick just bought Noah a cat because Nick said she could have “anything she wanted” since he left a hickey on her lol. Their parents are pretty okay with their relationship. They haven’t started problems or anything; it’s just a little uncomfy. Annnnnd, Nick just asked Noah to move in.
