okay im partway in and it’s very slow going for me. i think part of me is having trouble understanding what’s. happening? like not in an “im stupit” way because i understand the published individual stories that are involved in this book but just. i think the jury’s out on whether or not the narrative across the short fic feels connected. i DO love the writing in this tho <3

on chapter five and already have multiple paragraphs highlighted that make me SICK in the context of lear. really really into how this book kind of comparatively downplays the tension of cordelia/caroline saying no if that makes sense? like theres soooo much between the lines to pick at. crazy

finally sitting down to read my favorite writing professor’s stuff in full yayyy :) i’ve read some of his work and it’s excellent but i didnt actually read the whole collection yet despite him literally giving it to me
