Hippolytus: For me, personally, this play doesn’t hold a candle to Medea, mainly because the explored themes of fate and reverence for the gods is a lot less applicable to todays world than the themes in Medea, but Euripides is still such a good writer and Hippolytus (especially the second half) is so deliciously rich with drama. 3.5 stars
