The author, Olivia Laing, follows early 20th century writers' wandering paths throughout the U.S., examining alcoholism and creative processes along her journey. Reading like a literary Pulitzer, it wisps the reader through countryside and elegant prose. It's hard for me to put down any book where travel is a backbone to untold truths and myths.

A heady, complex, layered documentary into an analogy of beauty in coding and language - seen through the alter egos of programmer, professor, and poet. I went into this book wanting to learn more about coding. I left with a desire to learn more about Sanskrit.

Finally getting somewhere...
