The POVs from all the characters we know and love are killing me. I'm going to be weeping by the end of this...

I don't usually love character-focused; I prefer a strong plot, but this one is working for me. Also kind of want to slap the MMC's third hand and tell him to sit down and maybe just talk to his wife for a minute...

OH my gosh, she snorted when she laughed. She's so silly and goofy and not like other girls!

I think I found the pick-me girl queen. She likes Star Wars, has a sense of humor, and RARE STEAK?! Not like ANY other girls, ever.

57% in and we're at the point of "so much is happening that nothing is happening". Lots of information and connections are continuing to be provided to the reader, and yet I don't feel any sense of forward movement.

When you get to the end of the Everand month, your available titles really start dwindling... This is absolutely ridiculous so far but I don't hate it.

For the love of all things romantic suspense, why is this audiobook 29 hours long

It's not the book, it's me. Literally everything I read feels like nails on a chalkboard lately. When the criminal investigator said she'd be "out searching for clues" I couldn't get past it. It just felt... Juvenile? Do you mean you're searching for evidence and following clues? Where do you search for clues? It sounds like she's in an escape room.

LOVING this so far. An FMC that truly goes through shit, isn't overpowered or skilled beyond what makes sense for their life situation, and a book labelled as "slow burn" that is ACTUALLY a slow burn. After feeling like the fantasy romance genre (am I the only one that hates the term "romantasy") has turned into the same trope stew, this feels very refreshing.

Ok ready for this to wrap up now. Still good but I'm just ready for a different book.

I went into this expecting another generic (but not bad) sci-fi romance. I started to realize I was in for something quite different when I saw the 701 page length..... This book is.... SO GOOD. Like, I'm already thinking about my re-read and I'm only at 44%.

I've been putting on this audiobook for dog walks, since it is libby so can be controlled with my headphones (unlike KU TTS). That's kind of the only thing that has me remembering I'm reading it

You know when you eat a bag of chips and some chips are heavily flavoured and some barely have any? This reads like some of the unflavored chips. Wanna keep going, because the need to get a hit of flavour is strong. But also wondering if maybe everyone was raving about a different flavour, because you're missing the hype on this one...

I'm struggling. It feels like if you read a fan fic but didn't know the original canon material. It feels like reading book 3 of a series without having read 1 and 2. I think I'd be in a better place if I had read The Auction. Alas, I continue on.

I'll get to this eventually. I'm just in the mood for brain candy right now.

I thought this was a duet. It is a trilogy. This drama is waaaaaaaay too long. I have started fully skipping the spicy scenes bc I just want plot resolution.

If half of the "I'm doing this for Saela" reminders were taken out, it would be 100 pages shorter.

I already like this better than Archer bc Hunter shows genuine interest in Zoey and her hobbies. The bar is LOW, folks.

I have been trying to read ARCs/ALCs closer to release date, but I just had the itch for a Nora Roberts romantic suspense. And it is not disappointing!!

is a "sweater with the arms ripped off" not simply a vest??

"fluffy" is used 24 times in this book - 20 times too many

you can indeed have too much snarky internal and external dialogue

This book is nearly 500 pages and at 57% I'd expect it to be obvious as to why. But unless the romance takes a back seat and a different plot comes forward, I can't say I feel the need to read another 200 pages. To the reviews I go....
