This book is a bit of a narrative challenge. It was groundbreaking as a chronicle in its time, but it has such a dense academic style and it’s so encyclopedic it is a slog. That said, solid for research (tho not exactly offering a critical perspective)

I’m liking this so far. Solid first entry from Sam Richard, feel like I’m seeing his work evolve and I like it.

I’ll be honest, this is not very impressive so far. Lots of it has been better discussed (including books published before the first edition) and there are serious overstatements, a lack of nuance, and mischaracterizations. Perhaps it is because I don’t think “fundamentalism” is the best framework to understand religious Zionism. But still interesting enough to keep reading!
