I’ll be honest, this is not very impressive so far. Lots of it has been better discussed (including books published before the first edition) and there are serious overstatements, a lack of nuance, and mischaracterizations. Perhaps it is because I don’t think “fundamentalism” is the best framework to understand religious Zionism. But still interesting enough to keep reading!

This is an amazing book.

This was hard book to get in the U.S., I should have got it when I was in Belfast. Had to pay more than double to get it here, so hoping an American distributor can pick it up! Fascinating so far, mostly just childhood stories. But Tony had an incredible life and a personal experience as a member of all three major IRA armed groups. Rare to find this kind of insight.
