him and wonder ended up back together. He still hasn’t read his book, but she said she will. He got a little frustrated, but then they started going back to their fellow worship group where Sarah Beth was talking about the Bainbridge podcast, wonder shut it down and said she didn’t think it’s right for us to talk about it. wonder took Joe‘s credit from his book.

him and wonder, wonder his apartment and a FedEx man came by Joe went into the bathroom scared it was actually the police he was going to get arrested for everything. He told Sarah Beth. Ended up being a true FedEx man and him and wonder went on with their lives he gave her his book to read, but she never read it and he growingly he got angry at her about not reading it. They ended up taking a break.

Sarah Beth started questioning Joe as he was locked up in her dead shed. He eventually confessed to everything to Sarah Beth about the murders and his childhood and everything. She later let him go as she went to Dunkin and he ran for it thinking he was going to be caught by the cops. Stopped to see wonder and was thinking of running, but they were having such a good time. The cops never came for him.

Joe goes to wonder’s house for dinner but ends up in the bathroom majority of the time texting Sarah Beth because she keeps asking about the Bainbridge murder. The father is not pleased with him and the ex comes over. He goes to Sarah Beth’s house and break into her shed, but it was trapped and he knocked out then his question by Sarah Beth. She thinks he killed all the girls.

Joe attends Glenn’s funeral but doesn’t want to bring up anything to Sly since she’s grieving. Sly ends up taking over the fellowship. Sarah Beth brought up a recent podcast that has been booming. Joe finds out that Melinda’s body was found (killed herself with a TV) and the podcast is trying to figure out who did it. Joe feels he needs to get rid of Sarah Beth. Wonder invites Joe to family dinner.

Wonder and Joe go to the funeral. Sly immediately goes to Wonder and tells her how strong she is for coming and how amazing of a writer she is. Joe gives them privacy and Sly gets with Joe later to meet Glenn’s agent. Sly states how she is taking over the class and OK is leaving. Joe gets to talk with the agent and will send over his story.

Wonder broke up with Joe after Joe was pushing for her to keep writing and read Sly’s book. He set up Glenn and went hiking. He had Glenn fall off a cliff and died.

Joe found out Sly was the one who wrote the best seller not glen. He wants to let Wonder know since she thinks that he does not like her but it doesn’t matter since sly is the genius writer and thinks she’s amazing

Joe went to Glenn’s potluck and met his wife Sly. He arrived late and brought a “poor” dish. Wonder was not there yet so he forced himself to mingle. It has been an hour and she still did not show up. Joe is getting mad since she was supposed to come and keeps thinking “Mr. Macy’s” is holding her up. He befriended Mats and is trying to stick it out.

So far not really vibing with the book. She’s not writing like her past books and it’s a bit boring. Maybe she was rushed because the season came out? Joe and Wonder went out after the meeting and she expressed she was worried for him bc OKs mom could write him off. They go to a hospital bagel shop bc this was where her mom last was. Weird. They get invited to Glenn’s for a potluck and can bring family.

Joe goes to Wonders job at dunkin. This is not like Joe. He is too chipper when he approaches her and almost fumbles. He fixed it and they end up talking for some time. She later goes out and sends him a drunk text. They go to the workshop the next day and OK keeps bragging about her mom, a writer, and her aunt, another writer. Joe carefully gives her the truth about her writing even though he hates it.

Not sure exactly who Ethel was to Joe but they would talk about writing and authors. Her husband died from covid and she kept coming to bother Joe. He kept her in the basement to read his stories and was very brutally rude even though she showed emotions while reading. She ended up dying from covid and he fed her to the gators in orlando. Joe wrote a review to Wonder under Ethel and she began writing. A man came…

Joe is stalking Wonder. She has a sick dad, a sister Cherise, and a niece Caridad. He’s starting to talk about someone named Ethel.

Joe is at Harvard in a writing program. He has met OK, a possibly snooty girl, Lou, a showoff male, and Wonder, the girl he has his eyes on. They are the only 2 in the group that did not go to college. He chose her over his other option before he joined the fellowship. He was able to get her address from the contact list. Going back to his old ways again.

Tate had learned his father died and Kya left him a feather while he was at the funeral. He rushed to her and confessed his love and asked to marry. She said they were already married like the gulls. They spent the rest of their life there. Jodie got married and had 2 kids that would visit. Kya and Tate never had kids and she died at mid 60s. He discovered she was the poet Amanda Hamilton and that she killed Chase.

Kya ran to go feed the gulls and was happy to be free. she got upset when Jodi said they had to talk. She was mad at Jodi for bringing it up and stated she had to go to a murder trial in order to be accepted. He baked her a pie and left so she could be at home in peace. the next day she went out on the boat in hopes to run into Tate. She arrived as Tate was getting into the sheriffs boat and went to Jumpin to see why

They kept fighting in the trial. Was unsure if it was going good or bad. The jurors went to come up with a verdict. They took some hours but came back. Kya was found not guilty. Some of the people who knew of her that occasionally helped like the cashier were happy. The others.. not so much. Jodie offered to take her home.

Kya is still on trial. They are calling witnesses and is going good for Kya so far. Tates dad came to support his son. Tate almost cried of joy.

Kya came back from greenville and went to jumpins. He asked if she heard about Chase and she said no. He told her Chase had died. She was in shock. The court is trying to pin on Kya but her lawyer is doing a good job and defending her. Jodie showed up to the courthouse.

Kya went to Jumpins and he saw her eye. She told him about Chase but couldn’t do anything about it since she’s the Marsh Girl. The trial questions has started. Kya’s lawyer is good af. She might get freed.

Kya was brought into the courthouse to begin the trial. She heard a noticeable cough, and turned around to see jumpin, Mabel and Tate together.

Kya is in jail and he keeps visiting her, but she refuses. She meets with her lawyer who suggested guilty plea, but she does not want to be found guilty. The guards cat stayed with her for the night and she enjoyed it. She agrees to see Tate tells him to forget about her. He won’t.

Kya gets a letter from her editor. They are paying for her expenses to meet in Greenville. She is on her way to Jumpin’s when she comes across Tate but her eye is still slightly bruised so she tries to avoid him. He calls her over so they can look atthe microscope and he notices her eye. He thinks it was Chase, but is unsure. They are playful, but she won’t fall for him again. She almost runs into Chase.

Kya’s in jail waiting for her trial. She is the only woman in there, there are 2 other men.

Kya ran off after the Chase encounter. She was scared he would follow. She grabbed food from home and went to the reading shack that Chase didn’t know about. Tate renovated it so he could spend nights there studying the marsh. She understood why Ma left. She comparing herself to a female insect that kills their lovers.. foreshadowing??

The story is starting to come out about Kya and Chase. Apparently on August 30 Chase went to go see Kia and he was drunk and raped her. From the fisherman‘s eyes, he only heard that Kya was yelling at him and said if he bothers her again, she will kill him. She then ran off pulling up her shorts and panties to the boat. It appeared as if he had done something to her, but they didn’t see what.

A few months back, kya was sitting on the beach when Chase arrived, but not by boat, he had come quietly. He said hi to her and said that she will always be his whether she liked her or not. He raped her and she fought her way from him, she got in her boat sailed away, when she turned the bend, she saw two fisherman staring at her. I think that was the motive.

Kya said in the courtroom with everyone they were deciding who will be the jury on the case since most people know her as the Marshall girl. This is all new to Kya, and she was a little confused. She never turned to look at anyone in the courtroom. The same woman who took, their daughter away from playing with Kia because she was dirty was also on the jury.

The detective stated they had motive now for the kill and decided to set up a trap to get her. She was going to Jumpin’s and waved at him, but he would not wave back and just stared at her. She waved again. He still stared with no emotion, just then she saw the deputies boat. She decided to run for it so they couldn’t catch her, but they were too fast. They cut her off and stated she was under arrest.

The two stories of Mya and the detectives are finally catching up. It’s now 1969 in both stories. The detectives think it’s Kya since the lab report came back positive for the same fibers. They also know that they can think they have the girl without talking to her yet so come up with a plan to catch her since she always out runs them. Just then fisherman comes into the station saying he has information.
