I've had a hard time finishing this one, but not because this book lacks quality, far from it, it's been an excellent read and is very engaging. I love the viewpoint characters and I am excited to finish this book and finish the others in the series, but I just found myself getting distracted by a variety of other interests that tore me away from really finishing this book.

This one is definitely a challenging read. I find it interesting. Its certainly fantasy but you can catch glimpses of a very distant past that informs you this is in fact our earth, but otherwise the characters are not very interesting or sympathetic, and it's often hard to follow or understand what exactly is going on. Got through book one and had to put this down and turned towards other books.
