Can a slogfest be interesting? I'm learning so much, but it also makes me feel terribly sad for how delusional, lonely, and creepy Vincent was - even in early childhood. I'd wager he was bipolar or suffered from borderline personality disorder. Honestly, friends, stick with the Dr. Who version of the man, and you will be happier and appreciate his art more.

Beautifully written and filled with interesting research, though not one I'll read again. I liked the way the dictionary, women's rights, and WW1 are interwoven through this story.
