Trying to get back into the swing of relearning what I have forgotten with disuse. A little Cicero to get the confidence going. Done with the 3rd Conjugation, on to demonstratives!

This a good but challenging read. Maybe a bit heavy for a "beach read" but a worthy read nonetheless. Thus far it is the type of of book that challenges more than solidifies ones presuppositions, a book that answers more questions than it answers. I'm looking forward to the rest of the book.

Thus far the book is both predictable and hypocritical. The title leads one to assume that the path for Christianity is to take the path of Benedict, an isolationist existence that protects ones belief while the earth burns around it. His "ark" imagery bears this thesis out. Page 4 of the introduction states what the book "is not" the first two chapters state otherwise.

I couldnt get through this book. Just too weird and repetitive.
