Started this with an audiobook version

Storyline is super interesting, and I love the garden which main character/family dynamic. The haunted house with friendly ghosts is cute too
HOWEVER I AM about to my wits end with her continual metaphors every other sentence! You do not need to compare literally everything to an item to describe the subject of the sentence. It comes off as trying too hard and juvenile
