Omg!! Chapter 4 was so satisfying!!

The first half was all the females head whining about her insecurities

The choice for bree to manipulate nick into letter her into the secret society was thoughtless and easily executed. As soon as bree made the choice to force her way into this secret even I was pissed. And every bad thing that has happend to her since I'm just think " this dumb itch brought it on herself" I'm going to push through because this book is highly recommended. And I want to support a black author.

They kept going at it (sex). Too much high intensity scenes. Bad for anxiety

I really hate it when authors turn their books into therapy sessions. This has been a psa against bullying. Trauma counseling.
It takes place in 3k. Which bothers me because in book one Bri's I hone gets water damaged. Now present day that might be plausible. But 3 thousand years from now!! You telling me in the year 3k we won't have waterproof phones when we currently have them now!!
Or we won't have optical?

This is getting depressing. Why is it that books that aren't from white culture have hardship and drudgery? Having your heroin suffer doesn't make a story good. This story better have a redemption soon.

I enjoyed this story. The narrator did a great job. He has a talent for voices.

More teenage angst. Evie is insufferable. In reality, no one would like her. No one would put up with her, her way or no way attitude. She has no redeeming qualities. Even her "loyalty " Is self-serving. And the authors blaiming this on her being a teenage girl is insulting. It's almost as if she wasn't a teenager herself. Or she was just raised in a privileged life where she had no adult checking her misbehaiviour.

I hate this book. Alyssa is terrible. She was to cocky with very little to back it up. All brawn no brains. She gives a clique villian speech.

Being manipulated because of Riden makes no sense. And it's a stupid plot device.
