some inconsistencies lore-wise. Also, don't love it when people use common words but with a different spelling. throws me off every time. wdym magick? dragun? either come up with something *new* or use the normal spelling

Merissa gives Genya vibes, not sure what i think of the lore yet (haven't gotten all of it yet)

despite me largely having forgotten what's happened in the previous two books, i'm glad the author didn't include awkward plot points in discussions between characters. The short recap in the beginning really helped! I like that we start in the middle of the events; I like that we see a part of the story from a new character's pov; I like, but am at times confused by, the three different points in time & space
