Oh. My. God. Callie is JUST NOW realizing the thief can wear dead people’s faces…I thought we figured this out in the last book?! How can she be so slow and a PI 😭

I can’t believe I’m doing this….the only other time I DNF a book was back in elementary school. But today, today I will add this book to that list. I can’t do it anymore, the lyrical prose is not for me, I hate insta-love, and I feel no love for any of the characters. I give up.

I’m on vacation and didn’t want to haul my big books with me, so it’s time to dive into this small paperback!

Please don't judge me too much for reading this, I have to for a class. So far...not so good. I'm only 3 pages in. Send help. And wine.

Do you ever just read a book that's so slow and boring, but every once in a while a good part will pop up so you keep reading? This is that book.

I've hit a dry spell in my other book I'm reading, so I needed a little pick-me-up to get me into reading again. Nothing like a trashy romance to do that for you!

I needed something quick to read while I wait from my other book to come in from the library.

I didn't realize this was part of a series when I pulled it out of my local Little Free Library, so here's hoping I can understand what's going on! (Seriously though, why can't they advertise it's part of a series on the cover!!!)

Yeah. No. I give up, I have too many actual good books to read than to waste my time with this series any longer. If you’re a fan of non-consenting rape then this is your book. I’m just so upset I threw away $50 on the box set. I don’t even know what to do with these books now, I can’t donate them anywhere and none of my friends would want them. Maybe I’ll burn them...

I have to read this in a week for my class...on top of all my other homework. This semester just started and I’m already ready to die. Wish me luck!

So at first I wasn’t going to even add this to my list on here, because it’s technically a “text” book my English class is using. BUT I’m really into the way Mary Karr writes and would love to read more of her books.

What better book could I pick to read on the beach this weekend? Hehe

This book has good parts and slow parts. I'm not a fan of fairy tales, at all, and I didn't realize that's mainly what this book was about when I started it. From now on I'll be reading reviews of books before buying them!

I lost my book ): I guess this is going on hiatus until I find it or rent it from the library.

This book. Keeps. Dragging. On. I know I said I was going to take a hiatus on this, but I'm determined to finish it.

It's starting to pick up pace a little more, but I'm still itching to start a different book.

This book is literally dragging on so badly I might need to take a hiatus from it. I feel like things just keep getting repeated over and over and nothing's actually happened to the plot since I've started it.

I have to read this for a class, otherwise I would've quit reading it by now. My teacher warned me ahead of time there really wasn't a plot, but I wasn't ready for the difficult writing. I don't want to do a close reading on this *starts sobbing uncontrollably*

Aaah finally, a book I can sit down and get lost in. So far, this is my favorite book of the year.
