The phrase "only in America" seems right to post here. And, yes, in summary, you have to think positive thoughts about George Santos in some regards, because he did break through the system in ways nobody else really had before. Remember Eddie Izzard's mass murderer routine, where after so many kills you almost want to say, "well done"?

I can imagine a cheaply produced "talking heads" documentary which could have covered this just as well. Bung it on YouTube. It's frustrating that something which was, to be fair, quite an earthquake in politics is currently only really covered in a thin, inconsequential collection of 'last laugh' anecdotes.

It's treble spaced and large-print to try and take it from pamphlet to book, which is quite charming it its own way.

For many reasons this is not "bedtime material" or an easy read so I have only returned to it today for a lazy afternoon read.

With over 1,000 pages in a genre I don't usually like, I'm making it clear that this might not get finished. But it's good to start something with good intentions, right?
