Second time trying to read this book and it’s putting me to sleep. I loved The Shepherd King but this? Idk why I cannot get into it

This one surprised me! The audio started off a little slow but something about the story made it addicting. How was everyone connected? Who is after the Emmy? I was NOT expecting the plot twist towards the end of part 1! From there, I was hooked!
