On a comparison of sparse wildfire data to comprehensive accurate traffic accident data: "Well that version of the multiverse sure sounds nice."

Incidentally, this description of Western saddles is hilarious - I love the "foreigner describes American life" trope.

Why would he risk something that he clearly values - the freedom to push the limits of his physical strength - over a party he ran outside to escape because the people there were pushing drugs? Just say no, man. Embrace your inner introvert. Skip one party and greatly decrease the odds you get paralyzed for life.

Brooke? She's picking up her terrified young daughter that she's been on rocky terms with in the future. The police had to be called to her sleepover party. Is this worth risking three years of prison time and becoming a manslaughterer? Maybe not. But kind of justifiable. But Logan. Logan makes no sense.

I get what they're trying to do with this whole time loop thing, and Sam and Brooke's motivations are fairly solid. Sam is helping a woman out of an abusive probably worsened by time travel situation. He doesn't know he's going to die. Makes sense.

Okay listen. If I Knew I was going to possibly be paralyzed at a party that I didn't really want to be at the first time, I just. Wouldn't be there. Even with the century, since it's not a race you can do it whenever, and if you get paralyzed? You don't get to do it. Well not in the same way.

So I told my friend that the only way I could live with the protagonist being this stupid was if her stupidity played into a plot twist I didn't expect, and here we are! Saved it somewhat; I think this would play better as a movie though.

I have to point out. It's not unreasonable to keep people away from dangerous and costly transportation. That's already what we do at airports; no ticket, no access to the gates. Here they're trying to make it feel like discrimination, but it doesn't quite hit because we already follow stricter rules than these.

Oh ho ho! I like it! The twists are twisting nicely. Language is a bit strong but eh, the plot and characters are good enough to carry it. Got to say though (possible spoiler), seems like the theme might be, "The real ticking time bombs were the friends we made along the way."

So this plot twist I did predict. Simply because corrupt empires and businesses, and who would believe a deserter? So good thing this was an early twist, room for more

A good synopsis of captive bird feeling

Hey shoutout to my hometown! Or rather the area - Toledo was an hour away. I knew that water crisis was unusual - also shoutout to Mr. Nietkamp for having us research it in our high school science class.

The expletives and mature themes are strong in this one.
I've had a few red flag incidents, I don't usually $@#% politeness but applaud those who do. I go for awkward. In the shot glass incident, I'd probably say something like, "No, you have it, I can't handle my alcohol." You've admitted fault to point out the flawed social standard, and the other person can't comment without sounding like a jerk.

Ayyy, the Kirtland's warbler!! I've seen that one, it started me on birds! And the other enthusiastic birders of course :)

Two things I've liked so far:
1) Referring to bleeding as "leaking," as in "I noticed I was leaking - I hate when that happens"
2) "I'd seen sex on the vids and no. No. Just no. That was non-negotiable."

Wow this is really good so far. Loved the connection between the prodigal son asking for his inheritance and humanity choosing their own way in the garden, and God giving us our "inheritance" (in this case rule of the earth).

Getting holocaust themes

Definitely a YA novel. Main character naively puts full trust in corrupt government and in adult figures without feeling the need to take initiative herself. World is cool though. I like the descriptions of the small magic people and how their abilities could be used in a defensive capability. The mystery seems fairly transparent thus far. It is a YA novel though.

As captivating as I recalled it to be. This is perhaps my third or fourth reread.

Really interesting, lots of science history and modern science about multiverses. Lots of mindbending ideas, I like the medieval philosopher who thought the stars were animals wandering around. Or the bishop who said you had to say God could make a multiverse if he wanted to, so there, Aristotle.
