I’m only several pages in and this book is exactly what I had hoped it would be! As nearly a quarter of my ancestry at the time of the American Revolution was living in the Cape Fear Region, I naturally have a deep interest in the subject. South Carolina normally gets all the Southern Campaign love but North Carolina also played host to a lot of action as well during the war. Great read thus far!

Moss Miller is 20% done with A Passel of Trouble: The Saga of Loyalist Partisan David Fanning
Had David Fanning been a Patriot, he would have been one of the greatest heroes of the American Revolution. However, he fell on the wrong side of history and is considered to be perhaps the greatest villain North Carolina has ever known. One of the Captains he commissioned for his Loyalist militia was maternal 7th Great-Grandfather William Deaton. Really interesting to see the war from the Tory perspective.

Moss Miller is starting The Betrayal: A Novel on John Calvin
Mr. Bond does a phenomenal job portraying Calvin as a Godly, compassionate, and pastorally minded man and dispels many of the common misconceptions and notions about his life and views on Christianity and salvation.
