I had stumbled across some spoilers about book 2 and it may be that I will change my opinion but this is who people want her to end up with? There is no way I would route for a man who talked so terribly to me while I’m dying… “Oh but he did it to save her.” He literally could have said anything else. He is juvenile. Then again this book really isn’t that good so I shouldn’t really care.

I feel like I wasted time reading the second book even though I understand the author wanted us to see that Orlaith let her festering emotions lead her into a terrible act. It just hard to swallow that after a whole book of tremendous stupidity that she has such an about-face on her own linear thoughts and emotions. The character growth feels almost too immense for how stagnant she was in the last book.

Within probably 24 hours after she kills him she suddenly has the character growth of using her fucking brain? Also, I am still trying to piece together 1st book Rhordyn to 2nd book Rhordyn. The dude was legit a different person.

I am not a fan so far. It bothers me when something huge happens, and then something minor happens in the same instance that is meant to try to distract the character from the moment.
