Inspired to get serious about supporting my local tailor, cobbler, and other skilled repairmen. Putting money towards local craftsmanship seems more valuable than even spending less money to simply replace items.

I’m reading this all in one go, not in the daily increments that line up with the challenge. So far, the biggest challenge to me is the importance of community. It’s nearly impossible to live a low-consumer, well-integrated life as a lone wolf. I knew this, but I’m relearning with this book. I’m thinking through how to borrow and lend more items with friends, utilize neighborhood groups, etc. Good thoughts.
