Finally caved and bought the Daniel Mendelsohn translation. The intro material alone is worth the purchase, but I’m still going to be a defender of the Emily Wilson translation despite the resistance to it being the basis of the Christopher Nolan film. Complimentarianism is realizing we need Fagles AND Wilson. And maybe Mendelsohn too?
