i swear i think i just heard her say she didn't pick pete buttigieg for VP because he's gay. i'm pretty sure she meant people wouldnt vote for a dual minority ticket, but the "america isn't ready, i didn't think we could win" argument falls flat when you remember they lost anyway. america IS ready. the only reason people think it's not is because people say things like that create permission structure. disappointing

not even halfway through and i'm fairly convinced they're right. i will admit to being swayed by their well-articulated nightmare scenario of superintelligence 'optimizing' earth beyond the need for human input (and therefore habitation) for the interim goal of turning the sum total of human innovation into an energy producing industrial cookie-clicker style launchpad for further interplanetary expansion.
