This book is much better than any blurb suggests. It deftly blurs the lines between western, horror, and romance. It features one of the best and creepiest literary villians in Smoke, who honestly deserves his own prequel. Even at over 300 pages, it's a brisk read and difficult to put down. The ending is rather lackadaisical, but the rest of the book is well worth reading.
