Amazing as always 🙌🏼 Kate has a way of making the mundane magical, and the disillusionment with life into a song for its worthiness even in the mess.

In this collection she gently holds the strains of motherhood in tandem with its bone deep joys, the frustration of marriage with its faithful gifts, and the lifting power of female friendship. Loved every word, and so grateful for her art.

I am smitten with Jin! His genuine concern for Yining & how he appreciates her apart from their bargains.

Curious to see what Yining’s lineage is… because I have a feeling there are some surprises there!

First kiss in a grotto 🥵 is he morally grey? Or is he just torn between allegiance & authenticity? Is he toying with her, or finally baring his heart to someone?

Loving the imagery, and how he describes mysteries. This is a slow read, but one you’re meant to savor. Most likely won’t finish before Jan 1st
