Chapter 21 completely distorted my view of Felix. So awful to her when she was so vulnerable. It’s as if he is acting like scum bc that’s what he seems himself as in comparison to her. He believes he can’t truly have an effect on her bc she stays so guarded. So untrue as she was becoming open with him and he has attempted to turn her into a fool.

So she j said she loves him and now he is being awful.

In the dark all cats are gray. In certain scenarios differences no longer matter. If Oliver does not like him, it will not matter in this moment. Elio stops himself as he gets caught up in his thoughts of this moment he has planned with Oliver. (Very interesting detail!)
