“You have a lot in common with her. You’re both in love with me”

Said Felix.
To his DOG

“The turning out process has come to an end, and we are to a very great extent what we are”

Chapter 21 completely distorted my view of Felix. So awful to her when she was so vulnerable. It’s as if he is acting like scum bc that’s what he seems himself as in comparison to her. He believes he can’t truly have an effect on her bc she stays so guarded. So untrue as she was becoming open with him and he has attempted to turn her into a fool.

So she j said she loves him and now he is being awful.
“For all the fuss they make over you, none of them actually care about you one bit. I don’t know if anyone does”

“I understand you’re feeling upset, but I’m not sure if you’re being completely fair”

Wow!! I just love communication

You know I think the world of you. But I have to say that, because you’re my daughter.

All of my filial duties are nothing but a series of rituals on my part designed to shield myself from critics while giving nothing of myself away

We hate peoples for making mistakes so much more than we love them for doing good

“So of course in the middle of everything, the state of the world being what it is, humanity on the cusp of extinction, here I am writing another email about sex and friendship. What else is there to live for?”

“I have a terrible crush on him and get very idiotic and excited when he shows me affection”
