King Sorrow might be one of the best written villains I’ve ever read, at least thus far. He won’t hold any punches, and unlike any other villian, he won’t hold back blows for the sake of drama, he just smashes down whenever he gets a moment.

Very suprised that he brought up that bubbling secret Arthur had

115 pages in and we finally get our first interaction with King Sorrow, and honestly I’m not mad at all, could’ve gone another 150 pages and I would’ve been pleased.

The character work is just so damn easy to read, so magnetic.

The dialouge 😩 this book is gonna be incredible

Possibly the funniest part of any Tchaikovsky book I’ve read thus far. On page 142, the “Otherlike” decides our humans are dumb, and are just chuds making unga bunga sounds, so that’s why they matched it, to “lower” themselves to the dumb less intellectually superior humans. Otherlike is a Chad.

Listening to this through an audiobook, and I’ve gotta be honest, it’s definitely just okay so far. Maybe I’m not a big robot fan, I just feel like it’s started off pretty slow, even with the giant sand creature and all that.

Arton might be the most unlikable Tchaikovsky protagonist so far, also, I picked myself of a fresh copy of ‘Shroud’ so expect that at some point this summer.

Terrific. Back at it with Tchaikovsky, the man has a way of writing alien life and interaction that I just can’t get enough of. Will hopefully be doing loads of reading this month,
