I've been reading two chapters of this every week for John's class and as my fear of not hitting my reading goal for the year grows YEAH I'm gonna start putting the things I'm reading for school on here lol

B r o t h e r I would genuinely rather be reading anything else but I have to read this and write lessons for it by the end of the week AT THE LATEST by Monday so if I don’t update within two days send help

Been so busy lately that it’s causing a mf stress tear in the space time continuum BUT I’M FINALLY STARTING THIS

It's getting harder and harder to fight the Ali Hazelwood STAN allegations

It's only 32 pages but I would read this woman's grocery list if she published it omg

I am going to finish this before the end of the month even if it kills me

less words on each page would go down an absolute treat right now

I can see why when they originally published this they cut 60,000 words from it because omg it's good but obviously written by a man who had never been told to shut the fuck up before

I didn't like this in the same way that I don't like memoirs - too much all in the main character's head and thoughts without enough plot to keep it pushing

Feels like a 15 year old wrote this

I bet if I stuck this out, I would find the plot interesting and fun but something about it lacks pull. I've been trying to read this for over a week and it's coming off as kind of lame (or maybe tame is a better fit?).

Either way, she's going to DNF jail

Just finished the first two chapters … wait WHAT IS THIIIIIS !? Harry Potter x The Handmaids Tale?

I’m reading this totally blind. I heard it was DEVASTATING and you know I love sad things so I figured time to get back to my fanfiction roots lol

Reading THIS before reading or watching any of the Harry Potter movies/books is unhinged but it feels right

Alternating between wanting to read this at the speed of light and wanting to make it last as long as possible

Scheduled it for Target pickup today and I'm going to go get it during my lunch HA

I had to get hardcover (why do bad things happen to good people?) but I could barely wait for it to drop in the first place, I can't possibly wait longer for it to release on paperback

Ch 1 done!

I don't care how many times miss sjm repeated herself (so many times, like besties please I'm begging you to write this story with a wider net, it's so good and I'm already so invested, pls - I can't do another 'like call to like' every other paragraph for 800 pages) in just the first chapter alone, I will not think clearly until I get my hands on and finish this mf book.

I have the sunday/life scaries and even though I NEED to be asleep rn I'm going to read the first chapter that sjm released a day early on her website instead. Poor life decisions!!

This final book is easier to read than the first two. The parts that hurt the most are the parts where Rin sees Altan in her mind after she falls past the Seal.

I know missing Altan is beyond concerning, but he made Rin so harsh and so strong and so direct that I could never remember to hate how manipulating he was.

Rin has felt so lost for so long and it hurts to see her have to keep being taught by new men.
