The fourth book was jarring in a good way. It talked about womanhood and power and disabilty in an actual beautiful way. The end was jarring and I wish the end would have taken a lil longer but also I am glad it didn't bc that shit was scary.

i am sorry?? tehanu might be my favourite book so far

third book done!! i always love books that deal with dying in a nice way and this did. because only because of death we have passions and can feel alive and i like that thought

okay, the second book was actually way darker than what i expected. i loved it tho! and i am glad to know that tenar comes back in the fourth book bc i actually really liked her story

okay listen, we went from child wizard who grows up and finds himself to a girl that got taken away from her family with 6 and forced to be the symbol of a whole religion and i am so invested that i wanna continue reading but sleep is a thing i should do

First book finished. It was actually really nice and i very much enjoyed it. I can tell its for children but that doesnt make it worse, it is actually beautiful and profound. I am very much enjoying this

That's how the book read and despite it being a story for "kids" it's somehow really nice. It's warming and comforting

it's funny bc despite this being written by a woman (and the daughter of a feminist at that and mary shelley herself being a feminist) everyone just thinks woman could solve all their problems, even the monster thinks that

victor frankenstein is just a depressed, gay men and that's so funny to me somehow

The book being written in verse completly is actually really cool

i know why it's a horror book but it doesn't read like one. it's more so a book about generational trauma AND ITS SO GOOD

okay mexican culture is not the same as colombian culture but this still makes me want to reconnect with my roots, ask my mom and my grandma questions about the woman in our family


also - being a mother as horror trope is great. like love for children is there but just the depiction of pouring yourself out for everyone else and not doing it for yourself is a great horror theme
