I see why this took so long for me to read. The world that has been created is intriguing, but the usage of so many words without translations has me sort of skimming through this one. There are multiple references to someone's heartglass color without a clear indication as to what those colors mean. Maybe this will clear up as the story continues and the MC learns more, but just beginning this one remains difficult.

Enthralling. Yeeran and Lettle are a dynamic pair of sisters, and the realms of Faebound are brimming with life and the wild freedom of faerietales. The obeah are delightful. I can't wait to read more!

Already another masterpiece. A modern day Carrie. The CNN News Reports and podcast episodes make it feel more authentic; I have had more chills listening to this so far than I did when reading King's The Outsider.

*eyeroll* it's decent. But there's nothing new so far in terms of tropes, and I am honestly over the romance after ACOTAR. That was also decent.

Is it so bad that the romance tropes I crave are the absolutely unexpected? Or the ones that aren't portrayed everywhere? Malice by Heather Walter, as well as The First to Die at the End by Adam Silvera, were far more enthralling reads.

Ah well. Onward.

Every kid should read this. I am blown away by the complex issues Hawkwing deals with, and how expertly written his viewpoint is.

From a young age, he must deal with death, grief, loss, anger, guilt, and disappointment. But by the end of the story, he has learned how to love, forgive, accept, and heal in response to each of his challenges.

Not for me. Usually I really like Aziz, but for some reason the tone of this book so far has not appealed to me. May give it another try in the future as I was interested in the concept, just not the delivery.
