ok so this book is amazing. my july lineup is gonna be so good

I haven’t cried this hard for a book since forever. like a short sniffle yes but ugly tears? no. I feel violated and sick.

I should hate Terren but I don’t. he’s wicked but he’s also very broken and, from Maro’s journals, it’s upsetting to see a sweet boy tainted by violence and bent into cruelty

no i haven’t finished it but i already know that’s the rating i’ll give it because fucking hell this book is incredible! the writing, the character studies, the complex web of a plot—and for a debut??

the way i saw the twist coming

this book is the equivalent of a “so bad it’s good” netflix show. the writing is juvenile and the plot convenience sprinkled throughout the book are PAINFUL. but it’s also really easy to binge and i’m still having a good time reading it

this book is far from perfect but one thing that i like is how easy it is to get into. i can pick it up with ease and breeze through 100 pages without having to think too hard which makes up for its shortcomings

not impressed so far but i’ll keep going

If this ends on a “bury your gays” ending, I will give this book 1 star. because up until now, this has been a 5 star read. but i WILL give it 1 if it kills Priya off
