My grandmother’s new husband gave this to me, they read it to one another during “their courtship,” which I find very charming. It’s hasn’t hooked me yet, in part because the beginning is exposition-heavy, but I’ve heard good things. Hopes are high!

Going to finish today so I can start Anti-Oedipus tomorrow!!!

P. 410 has one of the craziest anecdotes. Freud says that dreams of landscapes accompanied by déjà vu represent the mother’s vagina since that’s the only place we’ve all “been before.” Once guy tells him he’s been in the landscape twice before and reveals that when he was 6, “he had been sharing his mother’s bed… inserting his finger into her genitals while she was asleep.” 🤢🤢🤢
