my slow progress is no reflection of how transfixed I am on this book!

I haven’t felt so ingrained into someone else’s heart and mind while reading in quite some time!

I’m feeling incredibly sad for June and the world she’s stepped into. Unable to seek forgiveness for your past; however, having to bear the shame and consequences they caused without any insight. I do not envy June.

This book is already meeting my expectations— I had hoped it would reflect similarities between one of my favorite books “The Invisible Life of Addi LaRue”. A mystery wrapped in cursed magic. So far, so good!

Not a book you can get easily distracted from. No mindless reading here. At the first few pages, I was concerned I might not be able to keep up with the Austen; however, I may have under estimated my few seasons of watching Bridgerton. They may have done one good thing and helped me envision the flow of conversations better here. Eager to keep reading!
