I thought this was a four-book series until after I had already downloaded this and then realized it’s actually a seven book series and only four of them are out. Which makes me considerably less enthusiastic about this one but I plunged in anyway. I like the premise of the over-arching plot quite a bit, but so far none of the individual books has been a slam dunk. Fingers crossed for this one.

I’m not sure why I decided now is the moment for this book but it is good so far. More than 1200 pages— yikes.

Not sure how I missed this when it came out— it is exactly the kind of book my kids would have loved— and not sure why I’m reading it right this minute, but it is fun and that’s a pretty scarce commodity at the moment.
