This book is SO STUPID! And I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve literally read the title “back in the game” - it is over 6 times! I’m tempted to give up, I hate it so much.

I had to look up when this was published because it is DATED - land lines, answering machines, and almost 40 year old character saying “20 somethings live by their phones”… published in 2007. It makes sense now at least lol

This was an “always available” audiobook from my library. I started listening, and it was… UNBEARABLE. I got it without a wait as an ebook, this one will absolutely not work as audio only.

Back to my old “book club” and they’re behind. So I stopped and now have to wait for them to catch up to our agreed upon stopping point!

I normally wouldn’t have picked this book out, but it will fulfill the Goodreads challenge for “Tale Spinners” — books adapted from/based on classics. I am a huge ‘Pride and Prejudice’ fan… so this modern day twist seems promising!
