Finally finished that damn essay on TV.. it’s not that it was bad but an essay about TV written in 1990 hardly stands up today. Plus I can only read the word “postmodernist” so many times before getting pissed off. It was interesting to see how Foster-Wallace’s predictions on technology and American watching culture hold up (or fall flat). Glad to read some slander on Mark Leyner too

This book is so good… vivid and there’s so much depth in all these damn characters.

If you’re gayyyyy and need a book to pick up and put down when you want this one is perfect- excerpts from different pulp fiction novels so it’s kind of like reading horny little short stories. Looking back on this kind of media now is also really cool.

DNF’d. This book does not work.

This book is so weird. It’s really about nothing, in the sense that everything that is written is abstracted or self-referential to the point where meaning is lost. It’s supposed to be funny but honestly it’s just kind of clever with some shock value thrown in there. I don’t think I like it but I do think I’ll finish it.
