This is punishing to get through

This is a little rough to get through so far. The characters are all miserable and unlikable, it reads as though little to no research went into how people actually spoke or behaved in the Middle Ages, and I cannot STAND how short the sentences she writes in are. Maybe it’ll get better? Maybe worse? Who knows. But right now it’s just kind of gross and bizarre (not in a good way lol)

I’m finding this slightly difficult to get through. The writing style is extremely conversational and focuses on more of the mundane aspects of the protagonist’s life rather than the whole organ donation thing that they seem to glaze over pretty frequently.
